We study the Bible for a very specific reason. It is the Word of God.
"All Scripture is is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work". (1 Tim. 3:16,17)
By studying the Word, we study God. We learn of the character of God. We learn of the laws of God.
We understand that the Bible is truly a book of Wisdom. It is used to make us competant, trains us for righteousness, and teaches us.
While people may want to argue that the Bible cannot be trusted because it was written by men, just the opposite is true, "knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was every produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God, as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit". (2 Peter 1:20,21).
It is the very Word of God.
